lisa clementi, MS, R-DMT
Lisa Clementi, received a BA in Dance from Hofstra University and has over thirteen years of professional modern dance experience in NYC. She has worked for Noemie LaFrance, Valerie Green, Nai-Ni Chen, KDNY Dance, Bob Boross, Sal LaRussa Dance Theatre, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Daniela Hoff Dance, and Kinetic Architecture. A recipient of the Caroline H. Newhouse scholarship and the Sono Osato grant awarded through Career Transition for Dancers, Lisa completed her MS degree with distinction in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute and is a registered dance/movement therapist. With an innate knowledge of the power of movement, she has had the opportunity to bring the healing aspects of dance at Bellevue Hospital Center, Morris Heights Health Center, and Isabella Geriatric Center. Lisa strives to bring performance as therapy into her therapeutic work and continues to bring the healing and empowering aspects of dance to lives all over the globe.
Chris Bell is originally from San Antonio, Texas. He attended Case Western Reserve University with the help of a fully funded graduate fellowship, earning a MFA in Contemporary Dance. He completed his undergraduate work at Texas Christian University and Lamar University earning degrees in Dance and Geology. He is currently choreographic and directorial assistant to Mark Dendy as well as a member of Mark Dendy Projects, serves as Rehearsal Director and Guest Artist with Gaspard&Dancers and performs with Eryc Taylor Dance. As ChrisBellDances he has gotten the opportunity to present his work around the country at The Tank, Triskelion Arts, The Hatch Festival, Westbeth, The Luminaria Arts Festival, The Ohio Dance Festival and others. He was the resident choreographer for the American Theater of Harlem and The Mather Dance Collective which brought people aged 8-80 of various skill level and socioeconomic status together to create and perform new dances. In addition to performing and choreographing he has taught for DanceNow/NYC, Pascal Rioult Dance NY, TADA! Youth Theaters andMarquis Studios.
Kyleigh Sackandy holds a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase College, Conservatory of Dance and an M.S in Dance/Movement Therapy from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a registered dance/movement therapist (DMT) and is pursing her License in Creative Arts Therapy. Kyleigh works as a DMT with children and adults with developmental disabilities, elder adults in memory care, and children who have experienced domestic violence. Her training also includes DMT with children and adults with mental illness in inpatient and outpatient settings. Kyleigh has been teaching dance and dancing professionally since 2008 and continues her practice as a teacher and performer. She currently teaches dance in Queens, NY and is a company dancer in Ariel Rivka Dance.
Jevonnie Flemming aka "Jeo Da Dancer," was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He currently teaches DanceHall workshops 7 days a week in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island. He is a internationally recognized dancer, singer song-writer, instructor, and choreographer. He won First Place at The Apollo Theater in NYC 2012 and was awarded The Tristate DanceHall King in 2014. He currently works with ETD Outreach as well as Rita Ora, and Elephant Man.
Chauncey is a zealous and innovative dancer and yogini who has been dedicated to her dance for twenty-three years and yoga practice for thirteen years. She became an RYT 200 hour Vinyasa instructor on January 29 th , 2012 and is currently working towards her Yoga Therapy certification through Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy. She is also certified to teach yoga to children 2-7 years old through Next Generation Yoga with Jodi Kromitor. Chauncey’s long time love for movement led her to discover her passion for Barre. On January 1 st , 2013 mentor and teacher, Leslie Hamm, certified Chauncey in all Pilates’ equipment, Pilates’ Mat, and Bar Sculpt Method through Pilates Academy International in Portland, Maine. Upon moving back to New York City, Fred Devito and Elisabeth Halfpapp certified Chauncey in both Exhale’s Barre certification, and CoreFusion Barre at Exhale Studios. Graduating from the Pratt Institute with a Master’s of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy in the fall of 2016, Chauncey currently works as a part-time dance/movement therapist at The Animation Project with juvenile adolescents, as well as teaching group and private Yoga and Barre classes to all levels in New York, New York.
