But they've also signed onto an exciting new program, MOBILIZE, which has been officially sponsored by MAC Cosmetics through ETD. The program will include six weeks of rehearsals for the participants (special residents who have life-long interests in dance) which culminates in a performance on June 2nd. All the participants will have professional MAC artists make them over and then perform at the Harlem SChool of Arts Theater!

ETD's 5-week movement therapy pilot program at NYU Langone Medical Center (at the Perlmutter Cancer Center) just ended in November! The results speak for themselves as NYU instantly renewed the program with a $10,000 grant to continue starting in January 2017! A huge thank you goes out to The Auxiliary and its president, Doris Farelly for making the funding possible. A special thank you to Dr. Marleen Meyeres & Diane Rosenstein for their belief and passion in the program.

In 2015, ETD toured to Merida, Mexico and performed at the International Dance Festival Avant Garde. During the week long stay, we partnered with the producers, Umbral Danza, to give three 4-hour workshops to young dancers, orphans, and violated youth.

At the beginning of the workshops, the children were very soft spoken and incredibly shy. By the end of the first day, they were clamoring over the dancers, grinning from ear to ear. Creating pure, innocent joy through dance, is more than we can ask for.

On the night of our last performance, we decided to have an impromptu show with the children. After our last piece finished, we invited the students to up on stage and dance with the whole company. The video is coming out with the tour documentary soon!
